I statements

Discussions about values (PI Practice M1) can easily devolve into arguments. This can occur whether our discussions occur in the context of community-wide conversations or in one-on-one conversations with learning partners, such as parents and students. Use this quick worksheet to build the skill of using “I” statements and lower the temperature of values-centered conversations.
